Some designs come together exactly as planned. Others begin with simple curiosity.

The Origami Eyelet Top was born from playing with shapes, experimenting with fabric and discovering how the smallest details can completely transform a garment.

Instead of creating decorative appliqués, I wanted every detail to become part of the design itself. Two small squares of fabric, layered beneath a metal eyelet, create a subtle three-dimensional element that changes depending on how the light falls. Every origami detail is individually handcrafted, making each top unique.

The name Origami felt natural from the very beginning. Although no traditional paper folding is involved, the idea comes from the same way of thinking – transforming a simple, flat shape into something with depth, structure and character.

This approach has been part of my design journey for many years. If you’ve been following ninaluba, you might already know the Origami Bag, inspired by the same fascination with geometry, transformation and unexpected details.

Made from a soft, comfortable knit, the Origami Eyelet Top is designed for effortless everyday wear while still offering something unexpected. It’s an easy piece to style with denim, tailored trousers or a skirt, proving that even the simplest outfit can become special through thoughtful design.
